ATCO’s Blue Flame Kitchen (BFK) has been helping people get comfortable in the kitchen since 1929. Back then, they set up the original home service department to teach Albertans how to use new appliances powered by natural gas and offered recipes best suited for this “wonder fuel.”
Today, BFK provides a variety of culinary learning experiences and offerings, driving food education to Albertans, executing large culinary celebrations, running the BFK café and the ATCO Commons for a variety of seasonal events, meeting space rentals, and community outreach.
